Due today from Lakeridge software, is an Android application mainly designed under the GTD task management principles. Using Toodledo for synchronization, this app makes good use of the popular task web service, under a nicely designed user interface
As a task management application, Due today manages to be simple, yet containing all the standard features of Toodledo, including a good start-up screen containing all the main sections with large icons and readable counters and also has many customization options making it really easy to work with.
Inside those sections you can find lists of tasks, which are equally readable, but I have to complaint about the task editor which has field controls that pops up another screen for entering data for each field. However it works if you et used to it.
Due today comes in two flavors: one free and Ad-supported with Toodledo sync and a paid one with access to subtasks, sync with Lakeridge’s own web service, a customizable widget and some other goodies (sorry, no search and filtering for the free version).
There is also a Windows desktop version of the application which is not free and unfortunately I was not able to test the trial version due to heavy freezing running under my Windows 8 system.
In conclusion, Due today, besides its predictable name, is one of the good task management applications for the Android platform.
