image

This is one of the most feature packed and complete web applications for GTD. Toodledo supports every aspect of GTD so, be prepared of some set up time before starting using it.
The user interface is pretty good but gets a bit complicated, mainly because of the big number of functions it supports. That is exactly the reason why it may take a few more seconds than the average task manager to create a new task.

There are many views that will help you visualize your actions: By context, folder, goal, priority, hotlist, calendar and more. There is a pro subscription plan option which offers even more control on your system and it is designed wisely, so even a free plan user can benefit by most of the good features.

Killer features:

  • Goals support
  • Full customization
  • Import and Export csv, text and xml
  • Really big number of supported services

GTD mode: Contexts, folders as projects, goals, hotlist for next actions, reference.

Weaknesses:

  • Complicated user interface (update: The new interface is really tidy making a huge difference to the application functionality)
  • Cluttered task addition form

Supported elements: Contexts, folders, subtasks (pro), goals, due dates, repeat, timer, priority, tag, status, stars, trashcan, location, sharing, scheduler (pro), files (pro), notebook, statistics (pro), locations, history/search.

Supported services: Printing, email import/export/reminders, firefox addon, chrome extension, twitter, iGoogle gadgets, iCal, SMS, printable booklets, CSV/Text/XML data import/export, Palm PDA import/export, RSS feeds, OSX widgets, Netvibes, Pageflakes, Jott, Tsheets, Outlook, Adobe air, API, Windows gadget, desktop applications.

Mobile access: Mobile site, iPhone/iPad/iPod touch, Android, Blackberry, palm webos,

Conclusion : Even though vast and a bit complicated, toodledo is one of the most feature packed and reliable task managers out there. Two things make it great: The native GTD support and the really big number of services it supports. A must for full GTD systems.
